Born in 1977, Clotilde Salmon is a visual artist based at the Villa Mais d’Ici (Aubervilliers). Trained in fresco painting, she works in both public and private spaces in France and abroad. She founded the Contrepente gallery in Ariège to promote immersive art in rural settings. An author and performer, she has worked for over a decade within the Groupe Performatif Famapoil (GPF), which she co-directs with Sonia Kuipers. Her practice — spanning masks, mobile sets, installations, and video projections — blends drawing, absurdity, feminism, reality, and fantasy to create a total art form often accompanied by electronic music.
