Wu Zhi, born in 1972 in Sichuan, China, has lived and worked in Berlin since 2007. He graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the Southwest Normal University of China. His migration to Europe profoundly influenced his work, leading him to reexamine his identity and history. Wu Zhi creates works that explore identity, objects, and the environment, emphasizing transmission and transformation. His work reflects a sharp contrast between harsh reality, his fantasies, memories, and artistic orientation. His works capture dramatic and significant visual impacts, serving as a space for his social concerns and questions. Wu Zhi regularly exhibits in Germany and has participated in exhibitions in Austria, Spain, and other countries.
