Isabel Duperray

Born in 1966, Isabel Duperray explores the landscape and the body’s inscription within it — from wild nature to bathers, from myth to contemporary hedonism. Her work creates an ongoing dialogue between figures of the past and present, highlighting the links between our gaze on the landscape, memory, places, and the words that inhabit us. Through painting, engraving, and monotype, her works weave recurring intimate images that evoke both familiar and foreign territories. This approach was notably presented during a cross-residency at the Maison Julien Gracq in June 2017, focusing on the theme of landscape.
