A French painter and graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and Brussels), Roméo Mestre develops a pictorial practice steeped in geological and symbolic echoes — particularly representations inspired by volcanoes. During a joint residency, he collaborated with Maria Casado on her performance Agata Vulcano, bringing a visual resonance to the contemporary exploration of Saint Agatha’s figure through his painting.
