Vanessa Fanuele
Born in 1971, Vanessa Fanuele lives and works in Paris. A former architect, she has developed a visual language combining drawing, painting, installation, and sculpture, marked by themes of memory, nature, and mental spaces. Her series ULTRA and ALPHA shape dreamlike architectural landscapes where time and space waver between past and future, creating suspended worlds imbued with fragility. Populated by strange forms — hybrids between aquatic creatures and human organs — her work uses subtle transparencies to create images that never fully reveal themselves, evoking both introspection and a floating sense of otherness. Her work has been shown in 2024 in Biarritz (Mystère Picabia) and at the Maison Caillebotte in 2023, as she continues to pursue a visual practice of poetic tension. She teaches painting at the ENSA of Bourges.
